IV. The World

Imaginal Practice & Eco-Psychology

Restoring the soul of the world

Theoretical focus:

  • Active imagination as a way of being, not just an “inner” technique

  • Eco-psychology and the re-animation of the world

  • Beauty, soul, and the more-than-human community

  • The (alchemical) Lion roaring in the desert of modernity

Practical focus

  • Imaginal practices in relationship with landscape and place

  • Ritual, ceremony, and animistic ways of knowing

  • In-carnation. Giving shape and body to the imaginal

The world and the gods are dead or alive according to the condition of our souls. A world view that perceives a dead world or declares the gods to be symbolic projections derives from a perceiving subject who no longer experiences in a personified way, who has lost his “imagine del cour”
